Pre-Approved Debit Program available

Christ the King now can accept donations though pre-approved debits

Effective December 1, 2006, Christ the King has made it easier for busy people to make contributions to the parish.

Many people today pay at least some of their bills like phone and utilities by means of a pre-authorized debit program? Surprisingly, or maybe not, many people find it convenient to use this method of payment for at least some of the bills which are a regular part of life.

Last autumn, the Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie introduced a Pre-authorized Donation Program (PADP) for donations to parishes. PADPs are one means of providing a stable source of income for our parishes, enabling us to meet ongoing costs associated with pastoral ministries as well as the day-to-day operations.

In an effort to reduce the administrative costs to parishes who have adopted the PADP, the Diocese has developed a central processing mechanism capable of processing the pre-authorized donations made to each parish. Not only does this approach help to reduce the costs involved but it also reduces the time commitment involved in processing contributions, enabling office staff to provide other services.

For more information about this program, download the flyer which outlines further details about this PADP program. You can also access a registration form which can be used to provide authorization for a predetermined donation to be withdrawn from your bank account and deposited directly to the parish account.

Please note that participation in this program is optional. For those who prefer to use parish envelopes, we still continue the practice of taking the collection at each weekend mass.

If you are interested in using the PADP, please return the registration form, along with a void cheque, to the parish office.

You can also make an on-line donation by clicking on the hyperlink at the bottom of this article.

Thank you very much for your generosity in continuing to support this parish.
