Funeral - Felice Antonio (Felix) Diniro


1921-2008

Mr. Felice Antonio (Felix) Diniro, a longtime resident of Sudbury passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2008.

Beloved husband of Maria V. Scampamorte predeceased in 2002. Dear son of Emilia and Marco Diniro both predeceased. Loving father of Amelia Sander (husband Dennis) and Clara Antonioni (husband Brent predeceased). Sadly missed by his loving grandchildren Dr. Melissa Sander (Toronto), Jennifer Sander (Toronto) and Brandon Antonioni (Sudbury).

Dear brother of Maria Thibeault (husband George), brother of Guido predeceased (wife Laura Camilucci) all of Sudbury, brother-in-law of Yolanda Del Sole (husband Antonio) from Bolton, dear cousin of Luigi Diniro (wife Livia) Agnone, Italy. Brother-in-law of Eugenio Scampamorte (wife Maria Grazia), Genesamina Di Pietro (husband Filippo) Agnone, Italy. Predeceased by sisters-in-law Guiseppina, Filomena and brothers-in-law Rocco and Antonio Scampamorte all of Agnone, Italy. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Felix was born and raised in Agnone, Italy. He served in WWII as a palace grenadier in Rome. As well, he was a member of A.N. Cavalieri della Patria. Felix had worked at the Inco Copper Cliff smelter for over 35 years never missing a day of work. He was a member of the Inco Quarter Century Club.

Felix was a Roman Catholic and a member of Christ the King Church and a former member of Holy Trinity Church. He was a devoted and caring father and grandfather, teaching his family the importance of respect, responsibility and a great work ethic. His interests included maintaining his home, gardening, wine making, creating beautiful furniture, opera and music in general.

Entombment will be in Civic Memorial Mausoleum, Sudbury.
