Funeral - John Francis Wilson
Mr. John Francis Wilson died peacefully after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site.
Beloved husband of Dianne (Jackson) Wilson of Lively. Loving father of Mary Thorburn (Wilson) husband Brian Thorburn of Clarkson, Mathew Wilson wife Caroline Wilson (Blewman) of Sydney,Australia and Maureen Marshall (Wilson) Chris Marshall of Lively. Cherished grandfather of Kye and Samantha Thorburn.
Dear son of George and Jean Wilson predeceased. Derar brother of Bob Wilson (wife Anna) of London, and Jim Wilson (wife Pat) of Minden. Dear brother-in-law of Wayne and Jackie Vosbourgh and Bill Jackson. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews.
John was highly respected through his many years of service and devotion to INCO until his retirement in 2001, at which time he decided to continue within his chosen profession and went to work as a consultant until 2007. Those who worked with John knew he would not quit until perfection was achieved always making that extra effort. The family expresses its appreciation to all their neighbours and friends that were there for them in their times of need.
Interment in the Whitefish Catholic Cemetery
