What does our faith teach?

For the past number of years, a team of parishioners at Christ the King have offered the Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults on an annual basis.  While preparing for the upcoming year, our team discussed a new proposal which might be of interest to priests and parishioners from all Sudbury-area parishes.

In fulfillment of the Holy Father’s call for renewed concentration on catechesis we are excited to present a program aimed at reaching Catholics in the Sudbury area who wish to improve their knowledge of the Catholic Church or who wish to update their existing understanding of the Church and her teachings.

We will use the Catechism of the Catholic Church, published in 1994, as well as a series of video presentations prepared by Rev. John Corapi, SOLT as the basis for this series which is expected to run for a period of two years.  From October to April, we will meet once a week, on Wednesday evenings, in the parish hall here at Christ the King.  Sessions will begin October 29, 2008 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and will include some time for viewing a segment of Father Corapi’s presentation and some time for discussion of the subject matter in small and large group formats.
