Thanks to our sponsors

We would like to express a word of heart-felt gratitude to our partners and sponsors.  Without your help, this project would never have come to be:

  • Parishioners at Christ the King
Parishioners are the key to making this project work.  From the very beginning of this project, we have always been able to count on parishioners who provide monetary and in-kind donations and who continue to volunteer at the BSCK events to assist our participants, to teach them about food handling, portioning and preparation, but most of all to provide a safe place where they can enjoy the experience of telling their stories at their own paces.

Meet our Partners

  • Better Beginnings, Better Futures, Jubilee Heritage Family Resources and Our Children, Our Future
Experience in the field is one of the most valuable sources of information and inspiration, and sharing the lessons that have already been learned helps others to learn.  Thanks to the resources already available through our partners, we are able to reach a wider number of familes in need, and to provide babysitting services for children so that their parents can take part in the BSCK project.

Meet our Sponsors

  • Ontario Trillium Foundation
The Ontario Trillium Foundation is a catalyst that enables Ontarians to work together to enhance the quality of life in their communities. We believe that communities across Ontario are rich in talent, creativity and drive, and our grants stimulate communities to build on these assets.  Read more about the 2007-2008 grants awarded in Algoma, Cochrane, Manitoulin and Sudbury.
  • Sudbury Community Foundation
Thanks to a grant from the SCF, we are now able to purchase some toys for the Daycare portion of the Beech Street Community Kitchen project and to advertise this project so that others in the community and beyond can hear the good news about what we're up to.
  • Sudbury FOCUS Community Project
The goal of the Sudbury FOCUS Community Project is to promote a healthier and safer community in the Sudbury area.  This is done through a variety of ways, including sponsorship of the Beech Street Community Kitchen as we strive to educate Sudbury's population one person at a time about living well and providing healthy meals for our families.
  • United Way
The Sudbury-Manitoulin chapter of the United Way-Centraide has generously provided funding to assist us in making the BSCK pastoral outreach a reality.  We know that food insecurity is a major challenge to Canadians, and therefore the BSCK is open to all people in the Sudbury area who are in need, and we are honored to count the United Way as one of our valued sponsors.
